Huawei Emotion UI is a patented technology which is customized flavored on the Android stock OS. It has a very user friendly interface which is easy to navigate, easy to enjoy and easy to share. It contains Customizable home screens, Appilications and Easy switching between themes. It has a very easy way of navigating while switching between profiles. All apps and icons are under single screen which helps to group like minded apps.
It has “Unified Home” that has every apps under the same screen. It smartly utilizes the screen real estate by compiling all the information and functions in a single customizable widget.
The Emotion UI suits according to your mood and emotion and is customizable UI. It contains a lot of customized widgets that can be launched on the home screen such as weather wallpaper, power panel etc.
It has a one shot stop for all setting control panel and profile switcher, Smart Notification bars on the main screen for better navigation which gives smart control of the device.
Emotion UI contains options to change theme based on the user experience. It allows user to create new themes. It comes with 5 pre loaded themes and more options can be downloaded. Home Screen has easy folders which allow users to club like minded apps into individual folders.
Overall, Emotion UI has a fresh feel compared to the stock and other customized Android OS.It has some pretty good features that enables better user experience and navigation, on the other side, some upgrades on the Emotion UI would be needed to make it a complete package such as faster OS upgrades to the devices as most of the smart phone companies don’t concentrate on Software upgrades nor are they quick on OS updates.
At times the Emotion UI lags during app multitasking which might be due to the processor too, but I am sure Huawei will have upgraded version of Emotion UI in the future which has an Emotional Quotient to the user that makes the UI ecosystem closer to the user and has a emotional connect that will make a difference to the device and the user and I am looking forward to it.
