As we Arrived for the Chef’s table on Saturday night, September 19th 2013 to Kava.We were Greeted by Mr Vijay Anand Bhakshi and head Chef of “Fairfield by Marriott” Mahesh.P.The Restaurant.

Mr Mahesh had arranged a delightful 4 course meal for the bloggers.He explained us the Restaurant culture and the decor,ambience of the Restaurant.

Kava is termed as a Kitchen which offers assortments of Indian Delicacy and primarily focussing on Hyderabad Cuisines.Mahesh efforts for setting up the restaurant has been tremendous with lots of groundwork and in detail expertise on the cuisines that is going to be offered here.Head Chef Mahesh comes with more than a decade of experience and the Motto are of the Restaurant is Plain and Simple.

We started off with the Starters.

The first to come off the kitchen to our plate is specially made by the Head Chef “Mahesh”himself.

1)Zaffrani Paneer Tikka

As an All time favourite Paneer Lover.This is the perfect starter i can ever expect.creamy cubes of Cottage Cheese (Paneer) marinated with choicest spices and herbs. The mint dip was a perfect accompaniment to the Zaffrani Panner Tikka.The first bite made me sink my teeth to it and delicious isn’t just the word, it was mind blowing and as the chef Mahesh said, The dish was simple and that’s what it meant to be.

Subz Shikampuri

The Exotic famous Shikampuri Kebab which means ‘belly-full’ referring to the stuffing in the centre of the kebab is made out of finest choice of vegetables, paneer and khoya and the final outcome is mouth watering perfectly made kebabs. The mint chutney was just giving the right blend to the Subz Shikampuri.This is a perfect Hyderabadi starter i have ever eaten, and the effort of the chef has paid off really well.

Main Course

Paneer Lababdar

Paneer Lababdar is a rich and creamy gravy cooked in aromatic spicy Indian flavors and red gravy and then garnished with cream and shredded ginger. The word Lababdar truly means this recipe as it is an extremely delicious and non-stop eating dish.The texture of the Paneer was perfect and so soft that i just relished each and every bits of the paneer and it was just “Laajawab”.

KAVA Dal (*Chefs Special)

This is one signature dish you shouldn’t miss at Kava.Specially prepared by Head Chef Mahesh and with such intricate flavours ozzing out.Black lentils simmered overnight with tomato puree and finished with fresh cream & butter.I would just swear by this dish.

Hyderabadi Vegetable Biryani

This is One dish that beats all biryani’s and kills our perception of Andhra cuisine to be hot and spicy.
Perfectly cooked rice with choicest of fresh vegetables with aromatic spices and herbs that lets the taste linger long after the meal.It isn’t spicy as it is termed to be, just the perfect blend of spices and has such splendid taste.
