Twist in the Taste tale – Shiro’s

The leading name in India’s hospitality industry, JSM Corporation “Shiro” is all set to provide a twist to their current and much loved menus as they tie up with the leading travel channel Fox Traveller for their upcoming show “Twist of Taste” hosted by the highly acclaimed Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna.

Shiro is having an exclusive Twist of Taste menu created by Chef Vikas Khanna.

A favourite amidst food connoisseurs, Shiro presents the finest Oriental cuisine and fabulous cocktails, accompanied with Zen-inspired interiors, making a dining experience far more memorable experience. The 3-course menu is the total remix of the base ingredients of Shiros and made it in Vikas khanna’s way and the popular Panko Crusted Prawn Rawa Fry in true coastal style or the Xacuti Masala Grilled Rice Paper Roll Chicken that is a fusion of local Indian and strong Asian flavours. The Crispy Tofu with Tamarind Chutney, Coconut and Lemon Grass Soup with Rasam Powder tastes lingers in the mouth for long and the Steam Fish in Lotus Leaf with Malabar Curry Spices is very eye pleasing amongst many other dishes that are created by Chef Vikas’ coastal influences blended with Asian delicacies.

The twist of the tale Menu prepared specially by Chef Vikas khanna was indeed fabulous.


The menu goes as follows:-


Panko crusted prawn rawa fry style
(Prawn marinated with ginger, garlic, black pepper, lime juice. Dust with tempura flour dip in batter crumbed with panko, fry till golden brown serve with coconut chutney )


Xacuti masala grilled rice paper roll chicken
(Chicken breast marinate with xacuti masala ,grilled, julienne, wrap in rice paper with cucumber, lettuce, tomato serve with tamarind and jaggery reduction )


Crispy tofu with tamarind chutney in paper basket
(Tofu cube dusted with tempura flour crispy fried mix with tamarind sauce serve inside paper basket )
(Tamarind sauce: tamarind, brown sugar, salt, lemon grass, water reduce to half )


Coconut and lemon grass soup with rasam powder
(Coconut milk, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, tomyam paste, rasam masala )


Steam fish in lotus leaf with Malabar curry spice
(Curry patta,ginger, onion, garlic, malabari curry spice,red chilli powder, simmered with coconut milk, grill fish to 80% wrap in lotus leaf with masala ,steam )

Kerala style prawn curry with thai red curry paste
(Onion, ginger, garlic, chilli powder, turmeric powder , coconut milk, red curry paste,kaffir lime leaves )


Lemon fried rice with peanut and pineapple
(Madras curry powder, turmeric,lemon juice,peanut,pineapple )
