Some of the top lounges and Restaurants in town are located in Indiranagar.Fire,Water,Air – at the coming together of these forces is where troika emerges.Troika houses a perfect blend of food,spirits and a open sky.Troika is in 3rd Floor in 100ft Road of Indiranagar.They had organized a cocktail making Master Class with Well renowned mixologist Rohan Carvalho,where top bloggers were invited to DIY mocktails.
Visiting Troika for the first time,it is a roof top restaurant overlooking the sky with tall ceilings.The ambiance was pleasant with less noise levels especially knowing the bustling location.They had a center bar with tall bar chairs.A place that is perfect for all kinds of audience,be it friends,family etc.
The session started with Rohan Carvalho giving us the insights on Bar tending and explaining the different types of glasses & bar equipments used for make a perfect cocktail.Though the first looks of it sounds like rocket science,but it isn’t.
Rohan had plans to make everyone to master Mixology.He started with “Azure Twist” which rejuvenates your body and soul with a twist.
3 bloggers were invited to join Rohan to create these signature mocktails.
Each of us took a table with all the ingredients.
The ingredients used to make Azure Twist is:-
60 ml Vodka
60 ml Hawaiian Blue
10 ml Freshly squeezed Lime Juice
120 ml Lemonade
A Pineapple cone and cherry
Put four cubes of ice in a tall glass
Pour lime juice,Hawaiian Blue, and vodka in it.
Top it up with lemonade.
Use a Pilsner or any tall glass and garnish with pineapple cone and cherry.
We successfully made our cocktails and it isn’t rocket science,Just loved it.Rohan was a perfect mixologist to help us create cocktail masterpiece.
Rohan ended the masterclass with flair and some amazing stunts.
We were offered some amazing dishes from global cuisines ranging from coastal to oriental to Mediterranean.
We started with “Paneer Koliwada” which is made of Cottage cheese coated with spiced batter and deep fried and this is my first time i am having a vegetarian appetizer in koliwada style as it is a Maharashtran dish and i thoroughly enjoyed it.
Prawns sukka was the next appetizer which we ordered and is made in mangalorean style where prawns are tossed in mildly spiced mangalorean style which was authentic by nature.
For the main course,I ordered Lasagna which is pasta sheets stacked with roast vegetables and tomato sauce,baked and gratinated with Parmesan cheese.The pasta was perfectly cooked with cheese and made to perfection.
From Italy to India, We ordered Ghee Roast Dosa with Mix vegetable Curry.2 ghee roast dosa with cup of exotic vegetables,tossed with coastal spices and curry leaves.
Tai chi chicken which is stir fried chicken in oyster chili pepper sauce served with rice where chicken was rightly cooked.
The next dish is a very innovative dish which is parchment paper baked fish,Tomato roast vegetables which is made up of sea bass sealed with fresh herbs in a parchment paper bag and baked,served with vegetables cooked in tomato jus.
After a gastronomical experience of varied international cuisines, we signed off in style with Baked Blueberry Cheesecake and the dark house of the bloggers meet and my favorite dish of the day.
Banoffee pie which is made up of Short crust pastry filled with caramelized bananas in condensed milk,topped with sweet cream.
My recommendation:- Try any kind of cuisine and you wont be disappointed.
