Times City Gourmet Week 2014 – Caperberry

American Express Presents TimesCity Gourmet Week is in Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore from September 1st to 7th and then moving to Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad from September 15th-21st 2014.


I had decided to visit Caperberry, One of the Sought After Restaurant in town and have been raring to go and what better occasion to visit during gourmet week.Exquisite food at affordable prices.it is located in UB city.

As we entered caperberry, the ambiance was very quaint and warm which is set in a contemporary age.As we sat on our table,We were offered the Gourmet week menu card and i had selected the vegetarian meal which is a 3 course meal.


We started with amuse bouche and the starters was “vegetarian tapas duet” which is made up of porcini mushroom parfait on melba toast,baked spinach and almond filo rolls with saffron alioli.


The flavors were oozing out from the tapas and was appetizing.

The non-vegetarian tapas duet has chickedn & mozzarella involtini with red basil foam,smoked salmon and goat cheese roulade on spoon.


I had opted for the restaurant’s star dish “Potato Wasabi Soup”. Never have tasted a Wasabi soup and i must say, i would come back again just for the soup, definitively worth it.it was made of hijiki seaweed and leeks.


Till now, i was totally impressed by the presentation of the dishes which i could feast with my eyes itself:)now the main course is offered which is three flavors of spinach and ricotta tortellini which is made up of gorgonzola,saffron and sage butter.loved the taste and the flavor was lingering in my mouth.


The next main course dish was brie and Tomato tart is made up of sun-dried tomato pesto,figs and feta caviar and mixed greens though the portion was less, but the dosh was very appetizing and crunchiness of figs and the fragrance of sun-dried tomato was long lasting.


The next dish is an exotic one where braised lamb shank,grilled tiger prawns, char-grilled vegetables and red wine sauce enhanced with dark chocolate which looks delicious especially the experience of wine with dark chocolate.


To end the meal,We had a panna cotta which is a cherry compote and vanilla sauce and crunchy tulle which was just brilliant and the churros moderne is baked churros powder,spiced warm chocolate cinnamon-sugar.


We were stuffed till the brim and it was a lovely evening at caperberry and do visit the restaurant for their signature dishes.
