One of its kind initiative by Hyatt Hotels in India and the SMILE Foundation – People cooking for people which was also result to their Corporate Social Responsibility.This initiative is to emphasize Hyatt’s Focus on its rich culinary heritage.
The Hyatt Culinary Challenge is bringing together individuals from the corporate realm on a common platform where they will showcase their culinary expertise and passion for food in a unique culinary event. Each participant are teamed up with a child from the SMILE foundation, Hyatt’s partner NGO in India. Each team then executes a recipe of their choice for the judges. The corporate winner from each city will compete at the grand finale in Delhi on 22nd November 2014.
Mrs.Preeti Marwaha was the Winner of the Preliminary round at Bangalore, whose master creation was Faroe Island Chicken with Herb rice and Watermelon Feta Salad.The Judges were pretty impressed by the participants creations.Judges like Suresh Hinduja of GourmetIndia.com mentioned that he was really impressed by the tough competition put on by the participants who really performed at their peak. Mrs.Preeti was very humble and down to earth after hearing about her win and mentioned that she owes it to her partner from the SMILE foundation too who helped her with the cookoff.
It is touted to be an annual ritual and was inaugurated on 31st Oct 2014 across Hyatt Locations in India.Hyat India Culinary Challenge preliminary rounds would be held at Hyatt hotels in Bangalore,Chennai,Delhi,Mumbai,Raipur,Ahmadabad,Kolkata,Pune and Hyderabad starting from 31st Oct 2014 till 22nd Nov 2014,i.e the finale will be held in Hyatt Regency Delhi.
