Alto Vino is one of the top Italian restaurants in Bangalore and has authentic trattoria-style Italian food.Chef Marou had invited a selected few Food Bloggers to experience his menu.
Chef Marou was a fun loving person and was passionate about his food and cooking and he was kind enough to take us through the intricate details of his cooking style and how all his recipes were from a different regions of Italy and most of them are authentic household recipes from Italy.
We started with vegetarian starters, we were served with Bocconcini di Bufalo which is Capprese salad with Mozzarella Bocconcini and sweet pesto sauce.it was good and the freshness of the dish added additional flavour.
In Non-vegetarian section, we were served with Polipetti alla Mediteranea which is Braised octopus with chickpeas puree and served with fresh tomato salad.
In vegetarian main course, we were served Risotto al Gorgonzola which is Risotto with Gorgonzola cheese and caramelized grapes. i did like the risotto which was authentic.
Another vegetarian main course which was the highlight of the day was Ravioli di Asparagi which is Asparagus and ricotta ravioli served with sage butter roasted pumpkin puree. This was quite tasty.
In Desserts, we were served with Gratineted zabaglione and fresh strawberry and i loved it.
The best of all was the Classic Tiramisu which was served in home made style. This was mindblowing and you cant resist having just once.
