ZenFone 2 Deluxe is one of the most expected devices launched by Asus this year during the ZenFestival in Delhi.
I had a hands-on experience of ZenFone 2 Deluxe and my first experience is that it is classy The back finish is has a Multi-faceted texture with 500+ polygons that excites gives you good grip as well as a style quotient attached to it.The polygonal surface is one of its kind.I did like the back panel finish.
Personally, i don’t prefer a volume button on the backside of the phone below the camera as i tend to touch the lens most of the time and fumble with it.
On the hardware front,ZenFone 2 Deluxe is a 5.5-inch smartphone and 72% screen-to-body ratio which is powered by a 64-bit 2.3GHz Super Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, and is the world’s first smartphone with 4GB of dual-channel DDR3 RAM. Featuring LTE Category 4+ for download speeds up to 250Mbit/s, and a 60ms touch response time, ZenFone 2 Deluxe.
Personally, i was pretty happy with performance of 4GB RAM which was seamless and with no visible heating. The display quality was good when i streamed Full HD videos and also played some High end games like asphalt 8.
Here comes my favourite part of ZenFone 2 Deluxe is 13MP PixelMaster camera with its f/2.0-aperture lens.Honestly i was impressed by the picture quality especially the depth of the picture and with zero shutter lag and Low Light mode was good.Backlight (Super HDR) mode lets you see clearly through daytime shadow and Super Resolution mode helps you to capture detailed images at resolutions of up to 52MP!
PixelMaster Backlight (Super HDR) mode automatically captures multiple shots of the scene in the viewfinder, and processes these using ASUS Pixel Enhancing technology. This expands the dynamic range by 4 times to give the final picture up to 400% more brightness, along with improved color contrast and detail to ensure the photos you capture in any scene with strong back-lighting look totally natural.
Through a combination of pixel-merging technology, which joins four adjacent pixels to form a new pixel, and advanced image-processing algorithms, Low Light mode increases light sensitivity by up to 400%. It also enhances noise reduction and boosts color contrast by up to 400%, for clear and bright low-light shots with no need for flash.
This has been an issue with most of the phones lately,Battery which doesn’t last long especially with high processing and unwanted stock app running, but that wasn’t the case of ZenFone 2 Deluxe 3000mAh battery.the battery did last for long for 8-10 Hrs on 4G and browsing.
Generally, i haven’t been a big Fan of ASUS ZenUI as i prefer Vanilla flavour of android only, but ZenUI did a decent job.
The Asus ZenFlash accessory is a “Xenon flash dongle,” and can be connected to smartphones via USB OTG. The device can stick to the phone’s rear panel and is said to offer “100 times” brighter flash than the usual LED flash. Asus has not yet detailed the compatibility of the accessory.
Finally to conclude,ZenFone 2 Deluxe is an amazing phone to have with such a power packed hardware and style factor and a competitive pricing as well.
